PROJECT: CONTEXTUAL ARCHITECTURE STUDY AND CASE STUDY PAPER
This project is driven by Architectural Design Studio 4, as an approach to support students' design through extensive research within the framework of Contextual Architecture in Asia. The Contextual Architecture framework focuses on students' selection of building, with research objectives defines through in-depth literature review leading to a well-established case study paper structure and writing.
At the first part of the project, we were to identify a building in Asia to investigate through observation and readings in comtemporary Contextual Architecture practices and issues in Asia, conduct a literature review on its vernacular architecture reference and show it on a printed A2 presentation visual. The building I have chosen is Belum Rainforest Resort in Pulau Banding. Attached below is the A2 board.

At the next part, by using the same building, we were to identify a specific topic, issues or significance of study and then generate a good research title define the specific scope of study. Concept mapping is required that reflectes the research title and also research questions. The attachment below is the case study with the specific topic done.
