PROJECT 1: SKELETAL CONSTRUCTION "A SHELTER FOR ONE"
In this project, in a group of 6, we were required to build a 0.75m x 0.75m x 1.5m shelther in a scale of 1:1. The shelter should demonstrate the knowledge of skeletal frames and its joints. We are allowed to use only recycled materials. Me and my groupmates decided to use wood to build this shelter. After building the shelter, we were to prodece a report regarding the process of making the shelter as evidence. Below images attached is the report produced.

Throughout this project, I have had a more detail understanding towards the joints and also materials selection in a construction. And also the forces distribution in a construction is also important as it affects the stability and also the strength of the shelter. Besides, I've also learnt that working in a team is definitely not an easy job but it is crucial to know the importance in working in a team.
PROJECT 2: UNDERSTAND FORCES IN BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
In this project, we were required to form a group of 2 and choose a building which is either a gridshell structure or a tensile structure. Me and my groupmate, Eunice Chan has decided to choose a grdshell structure, The Savill Building for the project. We were to build a model and also the detailing models of the building and produce a board about the study and also the construction process of the building.

Throughout this project, I've learnt about gridshell structure in a more detail understanding with the joints and construction method and also the process of building this kind of structure required a different type of materials. After this project, I am able to apply the different structure that I have learnt when designing building.
