Building Construction 1
PROJECT 1: EXPERIENCING CONSTRUCTION
In this project, we were to select an ongoing construction site which visibly demonstrate the subject topics covered. The selected site should be a medium rise or low rise building. The site we selected is located at Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam residential area called Rimbayu. We were then produce a document report for it.
The report produced is shown in the site.
PROJECT 2: CONSTRUCTION DETAIL AND SPECIFICATION
This project is an integrated project where it involves the construction detailing solution for Project 2B in the module Design Studio 2. We were to demonstrate and present the knowledge and understanding of construction and application which emphasize on the materials steel or timber or both. For my design requirement, i chose timber.
Production of this project on an A2 board is as shown below.
In this project, I have learnt to take in materials and construction method in my design together with the relationship with the context in order to produce a sustainable and good design of building. Materials of a building could be affected by the situation and environment of context if it is not considerate properly.
